Hello everyone, Looking for some expert advice, Help!
Application submitted in March 2021 with accompanying spouse (India).

Medical done March 2022 RCMP May 2022
Last update received from IRCC medical received July 2022
GCMS March 2023 Primary applicant: Security : Not started, Criminality Passed, Medical Passed.
Accompanying spouse: Eligibility In progress, Security Not started, Criminality In Progress, Medical Passed.
Reached to local MP and got response that IRCC is processing our application and they will contact us if they need more information/Documents or when a decision is made.
Checked status via Web form in NOV 2023 and got same response.
Some crucial info about applicants.
Accompanying spouse is a failed refugee claimant and a departure order was enforced but I left Canada after 30 days.
Contacted 2 immigration lawyers and they suggested for a Mandamus Writ.
Please guide us what will be the best to do in this situation. Since we don't want to spend a huge amount on Mandamus and if it's not gonna make any difference.
I was thinking to order GCMS notes again for both of us. Last time I ordered for the primary applicant only.
I request all of you if you have any sort of information or suggestions, Please let us know.
