Congrats!
Good to hear someone is finally seeing movement in their application.
I think from what I have noticed, they are sending the MR after about 11-12 months from the date of application.

Received MR yesterday at 2pm...

If yours will expire at May 2017, then you might start to work on it around February 2017. I call to the CIC yesterday and were asking about the processing time. Sounds like it won't take too too long. Online application is about 30 days and paper based is about 100 some days now if my understanding is correct.

how did you set up your appointment although even November applicants did not receive MR yet?

I haven't got medical request yet but I just pre booked medical to safe time.
