Cool! I did not know we could ask officers speak for us! I am in Toronto. Are they in office all the day or you need make appointment? Here is my plan, I plan to call CIC next week, because on this 23rd, I will hit my 16 mon benchmark. If they still could not have my security check done, I will visit MP to ask for help in person. What do you think?

yeah that's good idea .You need to check who is the mp in your area and book an appointment with secretary and they will address you concern if they are really good .I live in Edmonton and my MP is pretty good guy and staff personal were very helpful .Thanks

lc 1990 depends on area where you live in and I would suggest to wait as your 16 months is not completed yet .They wouldn't take any request unless your processing time is over

Yes, now mine is 16 and half months.

16 months has already passed. No DM, No PPR. GCMS notes as of 24 Feb. 2017 shows two half-page paragraphs blank under security and security screening. Call center said security is still in progress last Friday.

Any idea why two sections are assigned to security (security screening and security)?

I didn't know that I was so important lol ;D

i am nov 22 2015 applicant.i got my aor on 23 feb 2016.i add on my spouse in july 2016 to my application.
july 2016 to jan 23 2017 no respond from cic.so frustrated
on 24 jan 2017 cic asked for my marriage proof and medical proof of spouse.i submitted all information on 18 feb 2017.
till than now nothing is happening.checking my ECAS status every morning.
now tomorrow my 16 months for processing time will be finish.Is there anybody in this same situation?
please be advise from experts.

Same situation, added spouse in oct 2016, my application was submitted in dec 2015, have also submitted medical in oct 2016, nothing new .16months will end nect week.will be calling cic today
