I have the same status like you, my medical is passed from Dec 21st and no updates yet, they haven't even start my security check yet and my file is in Ottawa.

Looks like they are working on early December applicants up to December 16th.
Waiting for long is killing our soul. Hopefully next week.. it will be our turn.

Called IRCC today and agent asked about my BG and I said it said not applicable and then checked my application and said still awaiting security!! noting useful than before and also mentioned that 16 months is an average and it is possible to be more than 16.

I just want to share my timeline, people who are waiting wishing them all luck and they will get some idea with processing times.


Application received –Dec 7 2015
Medical request – Nov 02 2016
Medical result passed in cic– Nov 15 2016
PPR- Feb 17 2017
Passport Sent- March 20 2017
Passport recieved- March 22 2017
DM updated and my application closed on CIC- Mar 3 2017
COPR received – Mar8 2017.

I did not got any sort of additional request.

Continue with landing part. Did landing part yesterday. It took 30 minutes in total. Canada Immigration officer asked 2 questions that were written on Copr and then called me back and congratulate me that you are permanent resident now. End of process finally. Wish you guys all good luck and thanks for supporting here.

That's exactly what they told me last week.the agent said my BG is in process and it's not updated on my CIC.
It's more than 3 months and yet still not in process. Don't really know why our case has been too long. It's really frustrating.

i have representative so dont access ro my cic. but i called other day and agent said everything i sok and they will contact you asap
