Got the first update in the tracker since Feb 2025 yesterday.
Now it says that we have to attend an interview on October 7th. Still waiting on details.

My wife and I are living in the US at the moment on a temporary work visa. Any idea on what they ask in the interview?
Do send me a PM after your interview if I don't reply/react here. I'm sure your invite will happen soon after. Congrats (I hope)! You're one of the most active people in this thread. I'm glad to see you nearing the end!

quick question to you guys, I am a Jan applicant, and had applied for ATIP notes. I received them and under "ASSESSMENTS" on pg. 2/3 it says "PAPER FILE" Office: Vancouver Citizenship; and then Location: Grant Interview Ready In-Person Interview

Does anyone know what this could mean? Will I need an in-person interview? When might that be? Here's a picture too
Hi @armoured might you know what this means?

So I finally received my GCMS notes and I’m not sure what I’m looking at. It shows language, knowledge, physical presence and criminality passed but on the tracker I see the first three marked as completed.

Prohibitions not started with a due date of Nov 22nd however it’s on process in the tracker along with the background check. Everything else isn’t started either.

I’m not seeing any notes or any reasons that says why it’s been on hold. I don’t feel like I know more than what I already see on the tracker, any thoughts?

Order notes from CSIS if you got them from IRCC. Probably won’t find out anything new though. Just have to wait.

Random thought that made me come here since I was planning some trip. I had a side thought of "oh I better update my spreadsheet" and immediately realized I no longer have to.

Isn't it (and for future recipients, won't it be) so nice to not have to track days for PR or citizenship anymore? Not having to feel like you're on a leash, ready to be yanked back?

It feels like freedom.

My wife and I finished the interview today.
The same interviewer interviewed my wife and I separately. I was called in first and after taking a copy of all pages of my passport, she started questioning me about my travel between US and Canada. She said the number of exits that I have reported does not match what she has as she does not know when I left Canada and entered the US. She only has notes from CBSA on when I entered Canada each time.

That's when I realized that for short day trips or trips of 1 day (exit today and entry next day), the US CBP does not share the records with Canada properly. Luckily I had printed the entry-exit records from US (I-94) and taken it with me. She asked for proof on when I left Canada each time and once I provided this, she seemed content.
She said she will have to manually check each entry from my I-94 to the records she has and once that is done they will mark LPP as complete.

She asked similar questions to my wife (and asked why I am not employed - I was laid off recently. She asked why I was laid off etc).

Keeping fingers crossed now.

I had a lot of day trips to the US, and as a US citizen, I'm not eligible for an I-94. Thankfully, I had no interview or questions about that.
