November 2024 - Citizenship Applications

My last cbsa notes came in early May just wondering if I should request a new one now

Also the whole point of asking ircc was so that they saw my file had no movement and do something .. guess I was dreaming here

ATIP requests won't have any impact on processing. Webforms however sometimes cause movement. Sometimes!

lol I just called IRCC to check about my application + understand which visa office and the agent was like "oh sorry our entire system just went down, so I have no information for you. You have bad timing". Great thanks for that. :confused:

The IRCC notes redact the info provided by CBSA, since they don't know what is allowed to be shared by CBSA. The CBSA notes include this information which usually doesn't need to be redacted, like showing your security and criminality status and provided by CBSA. The CBSA notes have all the other info contained in the IRCC notes. I prefer the CBSA notes over the IRCC notes.

Hi, thanks for this information. My wife applied for ATIP on may 3rd and have not received anything yet.

Can you send me link or some info how to apply for CBSA notes? Her application is stuck at background check and need to review notes.
 
No. It's the regular ATIP portal. Just google CBSA GCMS ATIP and don't click on any sponsored ads.

Personally I have little faith that the 'not started yet' flag or system status means what it seems to mean.

I believe I have read, however, that any files withdrawn and resubmitted get extra scrutiny and take longer.

But if you're certain about the meaning of that flag and believe it must be true that you're being ignored even though it's well known that files progress at their own rate, no-one is stopping you.

In all probability, after your withdrawal they will assign you to the same office. Also your processing time is still within the normal range. So wait and be patient, my LPP was completed really quickly (2 months after AOR) and I was waiting 6 months for the ceremony.
 
I certainly understand the frustration. If we pass 1 year, I'm probably going to hire an attorney to try to get a writ of mandamus.
 
Just gonna wait out the processing time period and the contact np to get real answers if any

The notes have my file due time stamp at November 2026 which is beyond the year mark
