GCMS from CBSA came back for my wife, with the GCMS effective date of May 7, 2025. LPP still is "not started", same as the tracker. So, nothing new or interesting. Nothing interesting in security/criminality. Just "no reportable trace". Completeness/criminality/security/test complete. AOR November 19, 2025.

When I called IRCC couple of weeks ago, I asked if there is value in getting GCMS notes. He mentioned that as your case is pretty forward, you will get information that I am providing. GCMS is valuable if there are a lot of back and forth between you and the immigration team. So I didn't. It seems that he was right. No value in asking for it. Time to sit tight and wait. My AOR is Dec 6th and since then only update is that our tests are marked as complete on March 7th. No movement since then. Vancouver processing seem to be on a standstill. I am hoping that things will pick up pace soon.

You're not going to know if it's "pretty forward [sic]" without requesting GCMS if it's been a long delay. You don't know what they consider straightforward. It doesn't cost you money and it takes just a couple of minutes. What's the harm?

I really wish I knew what was going on with Vancouver VO though.

Hello!

Days in canada : 1099

4 trips a month or less to UAE (born and raised)
Pakistani origin
Husband and kids are all Citizens
PR through sponsership - no employment in Canada just a homemaker the entire time through.

Applied 20th November
AOR 3rd December
Test 8th February
FP given 19th February
BG completed 20th March

Been waiting for LPP since. Any December applicants in the same boat?

Been outside the country since mid Jan, havn’t changed address through webform yet because it is not permanent, will be back in a week now. Did however ask IRCC if i could take my test from outside Canada and they gave me instructions on how to.
I also gave FP from outside Canada.

Any suggestions? Anyone thinks my application is on hold because i am outside Canada? Should i send a webform with boarding pass once i am back in to speed up my process?

Thanks

We are all in the same boat. I applied on Nov 26th and AOR Dec 6th. Waiting for my background and LPP. Hopefully we will see movements soon

I just spoke with an IRCC agent today and asked them the processing office and why it differs from the one that sent the request for the test. The answer is the letter from the AOR email has the office processing your application. While the office that sends you the invitation for the test is the office that will also provide you with the oath ceremony.
Not accurate info the agent gave you. Scarborough sent me the test email and my oath events office is Mississauga.

Does the 'application assigned' section show that it has been assigned? Someone in the Dec cohort saw that had a name with a due date in their last GCMS notes and then their LPP was approved shortly thereafter

Typically, they say do not send anything if they haven't asked for anything. I am also waiting for LPP since March 4th. I wonder if there is a correlation between those who held employment and those that did not during the physical presence days and how fast LPP moves. Reason I ask, is because i was also unemployed during this period and was a stay-at-home mom. Possibly more time is needed to complete LPP? it's just a wild guess I'm just thinking aloud here and trying to make sense how some are whizzing right through LPP shortly after the test and others are stuck on it.

How many days did it take for the notes to come? A month has just passed since I applied, counting the weekend though

They say 30 days, if longer, they're supposed to send an email saying they need an extra 30 days (which they're allowed by citing a certain part of statute), give it another week and write to the ATIP ombudsman or something like that. (Someone here did that and got a serious letter back that their request had been moved to top, sorry, etc)
