My wife's application (@WifeOfUSProgrammer) is waiting for LPP after test completion (Feb 18), Calgary office. The application is being processed in Vancouver. She didn't get a FPR, unlike me. Mine has progressed to oath after going through test complete, then BG, then LPP.

Hers was BG complete, test invite+complete, now waiting on LPP with no updates since test complete.

We requested GCMS for her application on Sunday.

I pray and hope your interview goes well. I think it's a just a measure of quality assurance.

Just completed online interview with IRCC citizenship official today.

She asked me questions on criminality, current and previous job position.Original passports Bio pages and travel history during eligibility .

it was very generic interview nothing specific.
Interview completed in 15 minutes.

Hey Guys,

I have not had any updates since my test was marked complete on February 19th. The last ghost update on the tracker was Feb 21st. My background and LPP are showing in progress. I have not received any fingerprint requests or any communication. I submitted the application on November 27th. I am not sure what to do or how much longer i should be waiting for the next steps. I know the processing times recently went up by one month. So i am not sure if this normal and i am just freaking out for no reason.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am also awaiting for any updates on my background and prohibition. I submitted my application on 17th November. My application was filed on 27th November, received test invite on 27th January 2025. Test window between 7th Feb to 6th March. Appeared in the test on 9th Feb. Status for the citizenship Test changed to completed on 11th February. Subsequently on 19th February physical presence and language status was changed to completed. The top of the tracker page shows last updated on 21st February. Haven't received Fingerprints request. The background verification and prohibition is shown as in progress.

Request GCMS ATIP from CBSA and CSIS. Ask for all documents related to your application number and UCI.

Don’t bother with IRCC ATIP. That background data will be redacted.

Your background check is holding up background and prohibitions.

I assume for virtual oaths it will be 2 days after the e-certificate becomes available. Does anyone know? For virtual oaths, we have to send a signed form in after the oath in order for them to generate the e-certificate.

Paper certificate has a two business day waiting requirement. With E-certificate you can apply for passport as soon as you get it.

Our timelines are quite similar, with the main difference being that I had to wait a month for my test results. However, I didn’t need to provide fingerprints since I had already done that during my PR application. It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold!

First, it could depend on the officer handling your case. Second, not all cases are the same some are more complex than others. It all depends on factors like how much you’ve traveled, how quickly they can retrieve data, whether you have any prohibitions outside Canada, and so on. In the end, a bit of luck is involved in having someone review and process your case.
