I'm a big data analyst, and here is some important information. I feel committed to this forum, and I made a short analysis for people that already had the test; if you guys want me to run any other analysis, please let me know and give me time. I'm in my break. LOL

Days from TEST TO DECISION MADE

JanuaryFebruaryMarchAprilMayJuneJulySeptember
# Sample Data595879706429105
# Days from Test to DM
Average8079697253607225

AVERAGES
2021 Average69
2021 A. Min10
2021 A. Max202

This exercise shows tendencies. Unfortunately, we don't have the same number of samples for each month. I can bet that more people already got their citizenship in January and February, and for sure, they have their passports. But they forgot to update the file. More than 80% of people are NOT committed to returning once they receive the Oath Letter. So take the average, that it will take around 70 days for the people that had the test to have an update. Minimum days 10, maximum 400 days (More than13 months, which is still within the 27 months of processing time).

IRCC changed the time to 27 months just to have an excuse to tell applicants that the file is still on time. While the average before Covid was between 8 to 12 months.
thanks for sharing this Lorena!

Hi LoreAR

thanks for this analysis .. i completed my test and my tracker shows completed as well .
are the physical presence and prohibitions check made together when the decision made update is done or are they the next expected steps ?

i always thought they would do those before test invites but that doesnt seem to be the case.

Regards
vbadry
Yes, in my case the 3 phases were completed on the same day.

I know they should send the test after EVERYTHING is approved, what is the purpose for people having the test and then still going to check the file. #IRCCisINcrisis

Understood . thanks for the reply . Looks like the average time from your analysis is 60 -70 days.
hope it is faster than that... only time will tell

I have a question about the test.

Do you receive an email that you need to complete the test between day May 30th and June 15th, and then you can pick any of those days and any time of the day to complete it??

Is that correct? Or do they choose a specific day and time for you?

Yes that is correct. You can take the test at any time and on any day you want as long as it’s within the timeframe listed on your email.

You choose the time and day, between the 21 days window given. My suggestion is that you do it one week before the dateline, just in case.

Makes sense! In case there are any issues. I'll try to do it ASAP! Once I get it... I'm still waiting for any progress, my AOR was Feb 2nd.

People getting all sorts of updates and I haven’t gotten anything since AOR. What a joke. Thanks IRCC for messing with our heads
Dude… chill! Like, you are already a PR, that was the hard thing… only thing that gives you Citizenship is ability to vote, run for office and High Sec Clearance jobs, so… unless this is messing with your plan of running for Premier or Prime Minister or be Director of CSIS; nothing has changed from when you were PR. Just enjoy the ride, how can you possibly be messed up in the head for a Citizenship application? Enjoy the ride mate. You went through the same process for your PR. Whats so different now whats your rush.

live your life the same way you have been doing it for the last few years and just forget about it, it says 27 months right now, and I dont know you, but Ipreffer to enjoy life in Canada than to stressing out for receiving a piece of paper that gives you NOTHING, of what you already have.

If you go back a few pages, I literally told other users the same thing you just told me. That they’re PR’s and the hard part is over. So I was on the same page as you.

But now, 1 month later, and I literally have no new update since February’s AOR, and others have gotten test invites, finished tests, complete bg checks. Just sucks. Good thing my work and my cat are taking my mind off this.

I am done waiting for the test invite and now planning my India summer vacation.
Can someone help me to understand how easy or complicated it is to give a test from another country (India)? does it impact the overall schedule or timeline? does it need a lot of back and forth communications with IRCC?
