Thank you for your detailed response, @legalfalcon .

To be clear, if I claim 36+ months of work experience, does it have to be all in the primary NOC? Or can it be in multiple NOCs combined together?
It can be under multiple NOCs, but -

The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. In calculating this period of work experience, the occupation must be listed in skill type 0 (Managerial occupations), skill level A (Professional occupations) or skill level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2016 [R75(2)(a)].

The applicant’s skilled work experience must also

  • have occurred within the ten years preceding the date of their application for permanent residence; and
  • not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.

If you claim 3 years of experience and in primary occupation you got 1 year in a skilled profession, while the rest 2 are under unskilled type C — will they consider it as 3 years of experience in total and give you points or not?

Why i’m asking, is because i claimed 1 year in primary occupation, but then i provided proofs from all the employments in the past and as far as I can see - the agent selectively picked just the experiences of the past 3 years, one of which is skill type C, but he did count it in favor of a total of 3 years of experience.

Quite an interesting question, because it’s either this is how they count experience, or Agent did a mistake. Or agent could select other experience from the past, which would be skilled, and he would get those 3 years of skilled experience anyway.

You get maximum points for 3 years of work experience. Anything more than that does not get you any more points. If you meet the CRS cutoff with the work experience, IRCC will use that to evaluate and not review everything you sent.

For FSW, Skilled work experience means that you’ve worked in 1 of these National Occupational Classification (NOC) job groups:

  • Managerial jobs (skill type 0)
  • Professional jobs (skill level A)
  • Technical jobs and skilled trades (skill level B)
Also, your skilled work experience must be

  • in the same type of job (have the same NOC) as the job you want to use for your immigration application (called your primary occupation)
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (have been paid wages or earned commission—volunteer work or unpaid internships don’t count)
  • at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)—you can meet this in a few different ways:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full-time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time work: for example 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
      • You can work as many part-time jobs as you need to meet this requirement
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

If I have a US visa refusal and stuck at security not started STAT RR? at this point would it be useful to obtain FBI report for ircc?
thx
FBI PCC is only required for people who have lived in the US. A prior visa refusal has no bearing on your PR application as such, unless you were deported, have a criminal charge etc.

Is there any way we can inform IRCC that we are fully vaccinated with an approved Vaccine? Would that in any way increase the pace of processing the Application.

From Sep 7 - Canada is accepting fully vaccinated travellers from other countries than the US. @legalfalcon please assist.
