CIC letter saying one should give their biometrics since it's optional.

Some argue that it can be done without that letter preemptively not to delay the processing.
I used a company called 'canadianfingerprints' - sent them fingerprints and they requested RCMP clearance on my behalf...Had it within 7 days of sending through my fingerprints...

It could be that you are one of those people from November who get a super quick PR. Some people in sept and some in Oct got it. None in nov that I know of. Maybe you will be the first one :D

Haha true. If you see earlier AOR threads the wait times seem to have increased anyway. 6-8 months is now normal
From the threads what I have observed is that many have got their PPR request within the stipulated time period..only rare cases extend beyond 6 months time..please don’t demotivate others

yes very true indeed..many are getting their PPR from Aug-Oct AOR..all the best!!

those rare cases fall into security screening, which is infact a bad place to be at as the timeline for the final outcome is highly uncertain.
