November 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

Happily, my new 10yr Canadian passport came to me in today's mail (Monday), after me having dropped-off my application for it in-person at a passport office only last Monday. I hadn't requested any special or expedited processing, so I was very pleasantly surprised to receive it today. What a great day. Yippee!

Did you go to a passport office or Service Canada center ?

We have a same oath date , I also received my letter today
It's funny that in the letter they say if one can not make it to oath ceremony, should inform ircc at least 30 days in advance while they sent the letter only 12 days before ceremony !!!

This is to inform you that we passed our Citizenship test in Scarborough today,
In my interview the officer asked me to get a print of my I94 from 2015 onwards but I only found the entries from 2018 March on the I94 website as it shows only 100 entries, so requested the USA Border for the travel history of my record, God knows how many months it's gonna take

I had to submit the same thing, they asked my exit entry report from us border agency . But since US border agency takes so long to process (they said 3 to 6 months) I sumbotted my i94 and it went ok and finally I received my oath letter today.
But just to be on a safe side I also submitted my request to us border agency and it took around 3 to 4 months to process it. So not that long comparing to 12 months waiting for Canada processing !!!

Please update the spreadsheet. My status changed to Decision Made. Does anyone know if CIC do any further checks or request for more information after the status is changed to DM? Or is it considered that the processing is now complete and we just have to wait for the ceremony invite.

hmm so they updated it on the same day? I took my test at the same Scarborough centre on Sept 27, got 19/20. During the interview , the officer told me everything is done and I should expect the oath invitation no later than mid November. however there is still no status update at ECAS, should I Worry?

I dont think there is anything to worry about. Status would change to DM eventually

Regina, SK. I had to juggle distance with weather and the possibility of a mail strike. We have bad weather out here this week, so I'm glad that I went last week and didn't postpone doing it.

Interview went smooth. Officer asked about my work and the last time I was out of Canada. He told me they have already matched my dates with my application and everything looks in order.

Interview was not more than 2 min. Told me I should expect the oath to be in November.

Online status : application still in process.

Fingers crossed till everything is done.

Test tips : do go through study guide at least once. Don't rely on praxtice test only .
