Hi Guys.. got a mail today with subject "Ready for Visa" with instructions. But the CIC account is still showing that the application is in Background verification. Is this the PR mail or do I have to wait till status in the CIC account also changes ? I got my AOR in Nov 2017.
I believe that is the PPR email. I got the same email myself. I think we need to write to them asking them to allow us to submit our passports to a local Visa office.

Nov 16 AOR, after submitting hkpcc, the additonal doc status is staying at "we are reviewing..." for 2.5 months. Tried email and webform without a reply and calling only get general info. Who else is like mine?

Hi
Before they used to occationally send a FT email but since there are alot of applications now a days,it is difficult to inform all the candidates and hence there is no mail sent.however, you can email or call CIC and they will let you know which visa office is procesaing your file.
Now a days files are taking 2 months on average to get transfered but i have seen feb applicants getting processed at Ottawa.
Hope your query is addressed

Regarding your 'status' in the CIC system, I'd just say be patient just a little while longer. It takes time for even government systems to synchronize. What's important is that you received the "Ready for Visa" email, and trust me, the government don't send emails like this by mistake, so just follow their instructions and relax.
