@ moidyn - congrats!

I'm so jealous of your progress right now. All the best in your process. Things look great for you guys!

@ jainanchal- i'm pretty jealous of you as well, ECAS is a piece of crap. Our status is still application received. I'll assume your VO is brutally busy too. So, here's hoping and praying this steady roll of good news continues!! REALLY hoping my wife and I are going to join in this party about progress!

My wife landed yesterday ;D Whole thing took about 30 min including walking over to the US building and then back into Canada.

Our whole process took exactly 5 months from App sent to Landing. Lucky for us!

Big thanks to everyone on this forum! It has made such a difference going through this with others, helping each other out, and rooting each other on when we progress.

Total time spent logged into these forums is 15h 48 min.

Just gotta wait for the PR card, and sign up for the care card and new sin card.

Wish you all good luck!

Congrats all the best to you and your wife

aw congrats riverrock, so happy for you and your wifey! : )

Thank you to everyone for your support and congrats. I want to share our little story of encouragement, hopefully with the honest effect of lifting your spirits.

Our application was received by Mississauga November 5th
my wife received her passport (with visa) on April 16th --- [5 months, 11 days since CIC received app]
she will be landing on May 7th --- [6 months, 2 days since CIC received app]

We applied through Nairobi which I believe is listed as the longest wait time in the world (33 months at the time we started) so it is truly a miracle to be at 6 months instead of 33 months. Having said that, I truly believe we would have had our visa by the end of February (would have only been 4 months total processing) if we had not had our little hiccup. we needed a police clearance from a country that would not provide it because my wife did not have a National ID for that country. The country won't give the clearance and CIC won't proceed without it!! what do we do?? Then CIC sent us a letter telling us that if we did not provide the clearance within 90 days, they would assume we did not wish to proceed with our application and that they would deny our application. well, we persevered (with help & prayers from many folks including my MP) and got through.

The point is that not only were the timelines a miracle but that even with a seemingly impossible circle, we got through AND SO WILL YOU!!

Like many of you, I have not seen my wife in a long time (230 days today since September 5th). I cannot think straight I am soooo excited to hold her.

Best wishes to all!!!

congrats Canadanow once again...! perfect time for summer landing... :)
where in Canada?

A quick update, ecas shows Decision Made, file started processing April 17th, and I noticed DM on Apr 23, I hope all positives....why couldn't they just add few more words - visa granted, or not granted....makes it a bit easier...hoping for the positives...

With my wife arriving from Nairobi, I am very glad she gets the summer to adjust. I have my work cut out for me keeping her warm in Edmonton!
