Hi everyone - only just discovered the November 2012 crew... been hanging out in the London VO thread since submitting!

Mrs Malawi - my details are in my signature if you can add me to the sheet. My application received on the 20th Nov which is the date they are working on. Haven't had any email correspondence and don't have an ECAS number though.

Does anyone have a phone number for the Mississauga office?

Thanks

Ross

Hello Ross & welcome.

For within Canada: CIC call centre @888-242-2100.
For outside Canada: +1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message). Some say this number is intended to be used for inside Canada and that agents may be difficult if they know you are not currently in Canada.

for everyone, completely off topic question......:)

does anyone know how to edit forum settings so when you click into a thread the most recent message & page appears, rather than the oldest message at the top and page 1 of 52 (or whatever it is at)?

They'll just assume CIC lost the posts.

just noticed the LA visa offices processing times increased from 10 to 16 months... sucks if its true but seems like some of the other vias offices are moving very fast, much faster than the processing times. congratulations to those who have gotten waived interviews/passport requests : )

YAYYYY!! So i was just about to send another e-mail out to the ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca email address to ask for some sort of written confirmation of my file being in LA... aaaand i go to my e-mail and there's a reply back to the e-mail i sent out to the LA visa office:

"Dear Applicant,

Your file is here in Los Angeles. When new information on your file becomes available, we will contact you."

WOO HOO! what a relief that is lol.

so glad you have that relief. not knowing is the worst.

Congrats bscinto92,

I can imagine how you are feeling right now. Any tiny bit of update does wonders and reassures that something is being done. I wish you a speedy process.

lol thank you! you're right Canadanow, not knowing what's going on is the worst feeling... glad i know now though. if any of you are from the northeast stay safe in this blizzard today! i'm kind of excited for 2 - 3 feet of snow, i haven't seen that in a very long time.

When I come to the forums, I click on the link at the very top left of the page "Show new replies to your posts." Then when it shows the threads with new posts, I click on the little blue "NEW" word before the long list of page numbers. That seems to work for me; it opens up this thread to where I left off.

Let me know if that doesn't make any sense and I'll try to explain it better!

Hi 7VKalat just curious if you are a Nov applicant and can you please share your timeline.
Us end of Nov applicants are still stuck, so would be good to know where in this application stage are you at

Feb 6th Update is still Nov 20 applications but time is still 55 days. :(

yeah, apparently this storm is going down in the record books since 1978,but for some reason i remember having this amount of snow before in my life time lol.
hope everyone is having a good day today. i'm spending the afternoon cooking and then the evening eating whatever i cook ; ) and my husband got to leave from work early so we get to have a nice not so rushed time talking for the first time in a long time, we've both been so busy lately and it's so much harder to keep in constant contact when we're both so busy all the time. i miss him so much, sometimes i forget what its like being in person with him when i haven't seen him for months at a time. kinda make seeing him feel like the first time every time though, does any one else relate? it's nice to never have that feeling go away. ms. malawi it must be very hard only seeing you husband once a year, i can't deal with 4 months i couldn't imagine being in your shoes... but i guess seeing someone less often makes you appreciate them so much more.
