Congratulations blessedelaine :)

btw, what does DM means? I am sure, it might just be very simple thing...but I just couldn't relate...

Decision made...can be in reference to sponsor approval or that the applicant is approved for their pr.

Sorry for the late response... But yes DM means DECISION MADE...

Once the Visa has been processed and released, the Visa Officer will change the status on ECAS.

Welcome to the thread! If you would like to be added to the spreadsheet please provide the date you did your medicals and which is your VO.

And yes it is a very confusing process how there is not rhyme or reason to who hears something first or last. Its just part of the process, or "waiting game" I keep reminding myself. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, the length of the tunnel is just a little longer for some us!

Hi there,
Are you managing the spreadsheet? I just noticed it today. I'll have to get back to you about the exact day he did the medical. It was about a month before we submitted. His outland processing office will be Sydney Australia, as he's from New Zealand.
Thanks!

Good Morning all (PST),
How you all doing?

Bought my ticket, I'm flying back to Vancouver April 2nd!! I'm going to stay for the 6 months and if our application isn't approved in that length of time I am going to request an extension. I'm tired of waiting and tired of being without my wife. This process is bad for the nerves lol

We are doing something similar. I have been apart from my Husband for 5 months now because he had to head home early to help out on his family Ranch. Its really hard being apart. The only thing I have done differently is I have got a working holiday Visa. I head back on the 20th of Feb. Cant wait!!!

The only thing I have done differently is I have got a work Visa first. So I am able to work in Canada while I wait for my PR to come through. I head back on the 20th of Feb. Cant wait.

So I am very curious, how did you apply for the work visa, and how long did it take you?

i know i wondered the same thing myself. i knew there had to be some way to be able to work in canada with out a PR but don't you need to have a specific job and a written job offer? i doubt hair stylists are in high demand right now since it's obviously something that's very common, but i wish i could just be there and work temporarily somehow. lindissa, i had the same exact plan as you until my health problems prevented me from going back : ( the 6 months that i lived in canada before my husband and i got married were the happiest times of my life and i'd give anything to have that back now, but i need to stay here and i need to work and guess i'm just going to have to deal with my husband visiting me for long weekends every month. the hardest part of all of this isn't so much the wait, but the wait without your partner being by your side. good luck to you and enjoy yourselves<3

I would look into it on your local canadian immigration website under work visa's, I can't really provide advice given I am unsure of your circumstances / what options you have. Australia is very lucky in that it has a good/flexible working holiday visa arrangement with Canada for people under 30.

Also-

For those of us that asked for our paperwork to go thru Seattle,Ive noticed that we all seem to have been sent to Ottowa or at least I hope so!
I had tried to contact Seattle, but I was never able to find their website, and I began to think that they would be closing down also.
And today,I was not surprised to see that as of January 30th,the Seattle and Detroit offices have closed.
I am hoping that we don't similar problems to those who were at the buffalo office...months and months of waiting!

Funny enough,I had the opportunity to apply for the paperwork thru Italy but thought that it would take longer thru them. Instead I am seeing people from the overseas offices get responses quicker than the Ottowa office!!
I have friends who just processed thru the Italian office and it took them from the Aor to landed 3 1/2 months!
:(

Status update:

My beautiful wife received a letter by snail mail from CIC Nairobi asking.....

- for us to pay the "Right of Permanent Resident Fee"
- provide passport for herself
- redo page 3 of Schedule A (IMM5669), specifically when answering if you have been in the military she needs to say "none" rather than "not applicable".

seems like all very good news and (of course) we are excited but not counting our chickens before they hatch (cheep cheep) :)

Ms Malawi - pls update the following two columns:
Passport Requested: Jan 22 2013 (received in mail on Jan 31 2013
Status changed to "In Process" on January 14, 2013 even though no AOR received.

Have a great weekend all!!!!!

CIC update....JAN 30 - Working on November 20 applications. :)

Finally....it started to move!! ;) :)
