November 2011 applicants

oh no! back to 67 days (working on October 6, 2011)...

Someone in another thread mentioned they had a lot of applicants on October 3, and with the holidays...it's a bummer, but it's to be expected. Our time will come.

I can't believed they adjust it from 66 days to 67 i know it's just one day ahead and why did they move only 3days to October 3 turns only to October 6? hubby told me most Canadians are not celebrating Christmas their more focusing on Thanks Giving something like that. Last Christmas I saw hubby on his office working because he brought camera on his skype even New Year because he's alone he rather choose to stay at work rather than home alone

I've got some interesting - if not slightly puzzling - news!

I received an email this morning from CIC...it says:

"UCI: XXXXX
Application No: XXXXXXX

This is an automated message. Please DO NOT RESPOND to this message.

Dear XXXXXX

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2011/11/05"

Firstly, our application was received on the 2nd, and signed for by CIC at 9:30am, but the email says they received it on the 5th November - not that it matters, but is the 67 days counted from the 5th or the 2nd, when it was actually received? I'm glad we received our UCI number, but we still can't access e-Cas.

Secondly, I'm the sponsor - but it says they 'received my application for permanent residency'.

Confusion! ??? But at least I know it's definitely in the queue!

Has anyone else received this email yet?

I got this letter aswell. This just confirms the date the application was received at the CIC. I got this on Dec 13. The next day on Dec 14 is when I acutally got an apporval letter in my email. So keep your fingers crossed you get that one.

I just received the same email confirming that my application has been received on 4th November (Which is the correct date), I wouldn't worry about the letter content as it is an automated letter anyway

Hopefully the rest of us hear a good news soon
