You need to show evidence that you want to settle in Nova Scotia, despite your husband's relative. Maybe demonstrating some knowledge of the place you want to settle. You can research some neighborhoods, you may talk about local cuisine, as they are specialized in seafood, maybe talking about the climate, assuming his relative doesn't live in Vancouver area. But none of this would be as strong as if you have some strong evidence, such as some jobs you might have applied, a school you may want to attend, specially if you have already contacted them previously. It would be interesting if the job market for your or your husband's occupation in Nova Scotia is better than the relative's province. Be creative!

Hey Thank you. Well, I applied for nomination under 1121 (Human Resources). For the nomination, it took 8.5 months. I applied on 12th March and got nomination on 28th November.

Good news! I just got ITA (4th Dec), Admins, kindly update the SS.

However, there is one problem too. I still have not got the nomination certificate. How did you guys get it and when ? I got nominated on Nov 28 and I informed them back after I accepted nomination. However, I have not got any nomination certicate yet. I just emailed NSNP today for the same. Lets see what happens. Has anything like this happened to anyone so far. ???

It seems you have just received what people are calling "pre-AOR". As many people have applied to other provincial programs and already received nominations, NS is sending this e-mail just to confirm if you're still interested in NS PNP. After you reply positively, you should receive a proper AOR, along with some extra document requisitions. Congratulations!

It seems, though, that you're still not registered in our spreadsheet. We use it to keep track of other applicants' statuses, as a means to predict when future applicants will have their cases accessed. The more people we have there, better is our accuracy to calculate how long do we have to wait. You can find both the spreadsheet and the form to register in my signature.

Oh my, I presentrd 2 bank certs and one of that is my online statements since I have many transaction on that
account so i thought it would be faster than ask the bank for a new statements. The other bank cert fron diff bank I managed to have an original copy of statemnts directly fron the bank. My pnp application hasn't been reviewed. Is there a chance they'll going to ask an updated cert so I can give a new statement from one of my acct drectly from the bank instead of online statemnts?

Can someone help? I found on one of the threads here that online bank statements were one the reasons for rejection. What can I do about that? Though I havent received an AOR yet.

Hi everyone at the forum. I am Ambuj Laroiya from India. Following are my details :

Application Sent : 02/04/2015
Received : 07/04/2015
Pre - AOR : 23/11/2015
AOR : 26/11/2015, reply to the same sent on 26/11/2015
Queries Received from "Alana Baxter" on 01/12/2015, reverted on the same on 4/12/2015.

I have some queries for you Skywalker:

1. The Assessing Officer (AO) wanted to know why have i chosen a particular municipality as my choice of destination in Nova Scotia and what research have i done on it??

Is this a normal query or a sign of application in refusal stage?

2. Since I had applied with my previous employers for the reference letters as per required format in the NSNP Demand EE Guide, I had shared the hard copy of the same request mail in my application. But the AO seems to be confusing it with me having applied for FSWP prior to 01.01.2015, and has asked the fate of my IMM0008 Application form.

Though i have clarified the same, are there chances of rejection?

3. I have now shared the reference letters as required from my previous employers in my reply mail on 04.12.2015. The issue is, I intend to work under NOC 2132 Mechanical Engineers in NS, but I have relevant experience in the same filed from 15/10/2007 to 23/06/2011. How is the AO going to calculate my work-ex basis the same. The guide is a bit confusing and for me to have a minimum exp of 12 months, the AO should consider it from 01/04/2010 at least, for me to get the 9 points. Currently, I stand at 61 points, because i had not provided reference letters in my application initially.

What are your thoughts??

Also, pls update the SS.
