Hello, if you read carefully it states that RLMD stream of 2014 with cap of 150 was converted to EE DEMAND stream this 2015 with cap of 350 and overall cap of 1050 for NSPNP category. Thanks

Hi guys.
I got AOR on April 3 and sent my EE profile&Job Seeker Validation No on April 8.
(My application reached at NS on January 14.)
While I was creating my EE profile, I got to wonder if I may face some problems getting the nomination or the invitation.

The reason is that my birthday is April 19 and some people say the CIC automatically deduct the age point on the birthday.
So if that is right, my total points drop down to 66 on my birthday and no longer eligible for EE FSW.

I have some questions regarding my issue and I understand there are some members whose total points are 67.
So if you have any idea about my questions, please reply.

1. Do I become ineligible for EE FSW after my birthday?
- Does my FSW status become "Not Met"?
- Or does my FSW status remain "Met" and just my CRS - Human Capital - Age points decrease?
- I don't get why they deduct age points, while they say EE profile is valid for 1 year.

2. Would I get the nomination?
- I understand it takes about 1 and a half month to get the nomination after AOR these days.
- By the time NSOI refers to my EE profile for the nomination, my points would be 66(If I don't get more points by then)

3. What about the selection factors/points in the Application Guide?
- On page 9 it clearly says "You will receive points for your age on the date that we receive your complete application
to NSOI and application for permanent residence to CIC."


Anyway, I applied for 1 more IELTS test today and will ask my wife to take one just in case.

Unfortunately, the basic question is that you have to pass 67 points to be eligible to be in EE pool. That is to say, 66 points will be kicked out of the pool.
Anyway, NS would still nominate you as you are still in the pool when they send you the AOR. But all the rest steps happen in EE pool, so it will be impossible to carry on your case if you are not in it.
The best way for you to stay in the pool is to raise your points, such as having your spouse take IELTS.

This issue has been discussed tens of times here, the cap for this year is 350 for NS EE program.
As I know, there is no update on China side. So, I am sorry but I think the cap may be reached.

Normally the points would be evaluated for the day your application reached the office. because that is what you used to submit your application. If it takes them one year to assess an application then that candidate is definitely going to lose points (may be gain if he turns 19 yrs, but lets consider the worse scenario). So office is bound to give you that benefit if your application reached them before your birthday. I think Zhd3535 should be safe here.

It does not work that way.
NS only take responsibility to give you the nomination. If you are qualified under NS EE program, they will nominate you.
Following up, they add 600 points to your EE score, ONLY IF you are still in the pool.
So, if you do not have 67 points, you will be kicked out of the pool automatically. NS will still nominate you, but it will not be their responsibility to make sure you are still in the pool.
As an applicant who has already received nomination, I know that you need to accept their nomination in the EE system. So, if you are not in the pool anymore, it will be impossible for you to accept the nomination even if NS nominates you.
In general, the best way and the must way is to make sure you are always in the pool when they nominate you, so that you can carry on with their 600 points.

I don't think cap is reached. If you check the last year data, that NSOI select 150 applicants over 8 months of period. This year they are selecting 350 applicant. I expect they will continue their selection process another 4 months.

As I know, they closed the program last year in 2 months or what. But they indeed sent AOR to applicants who was capped for FSW last year later.
Anyway, I hope friends here get AOR and nomination successfully.

Hello,

Is there anyone already working in Canada on an Open Work Permit?
I just submitted my application. However, after the submission, it is asking me to register myself with Job Bank as I don't have a valid job offer as per their rule(No LMIA). However, I am working on an open work permit where no employer requires LMIA and my NOC code is 2174. So, technically it is valid and I don't want job. But, still CIC is asking me to register under Job Bank.

Please let me know if any one of you have come across this.
