Hello people,

It’s been almost one year of my hearing and no NOD yet. I’ve contacted my lawyer several times and all he suggests is to be patient and wait. Two my extended family members who had their hearing at near the same time last year got their positive NOD 4-6 months after. But i’m still stuck. What do you guys recommend? Should i call the IRB? if so, what number should i contact them on and what should i ask for? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Yes I would call IRB and see if your case is still being processed. We’re there any other issues with your case? Criminal record abroad? Were you part of a foreign military? Did the minister intervene in your case? Was there any concern about your identity?

No issues at all. Our hearing was for 3-4 hours and went smooth without any interruptions. No criminal record, no military and no minister intervened.
My hearing was in toronto. So which irb office should i call?
Also, should i contact my lawyer first?

Would suggest calling yourself since legal aid lawyers are very busy and can’t bill for the extra time.

So, a question, when we receive a NOD, do our lawyers are informed by IRB or Immigration about our NOD.. or it’s just a NOD that is mailed to us only?
