Hello everyone,
I have this problem where I am not sure what to do with my ITA (decline or proceed with application).
I am a doctor who completed his medical studies in Egypt and specialized in Lebanon. Currently, I am finishing a master's degree in Canada in Health Informatics ( basically I can work as Business/ Information/ Systems Analyst once I graduate at health software vendors and even in Health authorities;however, health authorities look for licensed professionals registered in provinicial bodies).

Briefly, my CRS 467 and i got my ITA on october 3, 2018.
Problem I have WES ECA for my MBBS which states its equivalent to Canadian MD, I have 4 yrs work experience ( 1 year internship in egypt and 3 years residency training in Internal medicine in Lebanon for which I got Specialist Certificate- I cannot practice there because I'm Palestinian Refugee).

  • I have seen controversies about ECA whether it should be accepted from WES or Medical Council Canada (MCC). ( I have sent my papers to MCC to be on the safe side-it will take at least 2 months to verify my diploma and speciality certificate).
  • I have a police certificate from Egypt which i obtained from the egyptian embassy in Beirut in 2017 for my study permit. I will try to obtain a new one here in Canada (will take 4-5 months).
  • When i submitted my profile i listed NOC as 3112, but I do not intend to work as physician, I did not list the NOC for information/systems analyst because I do not have experience in that. I intend to work in that domain and use my clinical knowledge to design and improve health solutions.

I still have 58 days to submit my papers. I am not sure what to do and what is best. I looked into the forums but I couldn't find a similar experience. I tried to see an immigration consultant in my university and he was not sure. I tried to see other private consultants/lawyers but their prices were high. I cannot afford to hire a lawyer or a consultant.

Thank you.

You choose the noc based on your past work exp. Not what you intend to work in. You are free to change occupations once you get the PR.
