I came to Canada in August 2012 and received my PR card within 3 months.

But my wife and daughter came in October 2012, and they still have not received their PR cards yet.

We all know that there are 2 COPR copies that we receive when our PR is granted. Out of them, one (with our photo) is kept by the authorities at the airport, and the other one is usually given back to us. That was what happened to me.

But for my wife and daughter, both the copies were given back.

Anyone else in a similar situation? Please advice. I have been calling the CIC, but never got a chance to speak to someone as the line always experiences high call volume, and I am directed to the website.

1. Border officer screwed up, You have to get through to the Call Centre as you need to need to know where to send your families copy 1 of the COPR. The easiest way would be go to the nearest border office with your family and explain exactly what happened, and they should be able to sort it out.
