Hey guys,

So i held 3 different positions ( 2 different employers) on my PGWP. My question is, if i cannot prove i worked for one or 2 of the positions.. can i ommit them? as in.. can i only mention the job that i can prove? If i do this .. this will leave some gaps between study and work.. for example.. finished studies in June 2012.. and worked starting March 2014! i did have work experience in that "gap period" but might not br able to prove it.

Please let me know.

I am in the similar situation. I worked at gas two different gas stations in a customer service/cashier role and these jobs are classified in NOC D. So this experience doesn't really count towards CRS or eligibility for federal/provincial programs.

You need to put in the personal history section of the application so you don't leave any gaps. It doesn't have to go into work history if you can't prove it or it's not NOC 0 A or B.

i was never asked about work experience in any section but the work history section.

Personal Information - Personal History for 10 years (no gaps) by month/year you would need to enter Employed/Unemployed/Government/Incarcerated/ (I can't remember the others) but then the job title, facility and country etc.
Your work history automatically gets loaded into this section so makes sure you complete all the gaps in between.

in Personal Details none of that is asked for. I did not get an ITA yet if that makes a difference.
The only place I'm asked about work is "work history", a separate place.
Does this have to be "gap free"?

Personal history has to be gap free (admittedly this is post ITA prior to submission because the system doesn't let you submit otherwise).

Work history can stretch back as long as you want it to - no restrictions. You're allowed to input just the relevant bits (as you deem fit) and NOT enter all your work experience.

Thank you. so just to be clear, prior to ITA, in Work History, i can have gaps, ( i.e. i do not have to mention all jobs held on a PGWP ( including Tim Hortons and other short term/none permanent jobs?)
Once i get an ITA, in personal history, everything has to be connected, but no proof is needed for those not mentioned in work history? correct?

I wouldn't go as far as to say that no proof is needed for jobs which will appear in your personal history (as time spent doing something) but do not get into your work history (because you don't claim or get any points for those).

Try and substantiate as much as you can for those jobs as well because you don't want to be questioned on those (and that could delay the whole process as well). A letter of explanation will be in order wherein you explain that all those jobs do not add to your score (or your eligibility for the program, for that matter) and that you have certain documents (pay stubs, employment letters, tax forms... whatever) in place to prove the authenticity of that work experience as well so that it all ties up rather neatly in the end.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Perfect, thank you so much for your help.
My main concern was with Tim Hortons. Employer won't write a letter with job duties to match the NOC. But ill be able to provide stubs/T4.
Makes lot of sense what you said, thank you.
