I think I have mentioned it already earlier but just wanted to point this out again for anyone waiting on the test invites:

Looking at the most recent test invites (and abidcro is the most recent example), the "# Days app Rec to Test Notification" is really dropping which each new entry. A good sign for everyone waiting, that the new procedures seem to make an impact! :)

But dbo73 you've already had to wait since the 6th February ;-)

I gave my test today and it was quite easier than I expected.
For anyone preparing to take a test, my advise will be to read the book at least once, and practice online test as much as possible (v-soul seems good).
Also, if you're tight with time, you may choose to arrive 30 min late. Our test was scheduled for 1pm, but we actually started at 2pm, and the last person was let in at about 1:55. I arrived early and had to sit in the test room almost 1 hour (wasted time).
The officer that attended to me was quite friendly. They will check your passports, so make sure you bring all your passports with you. I over heard some people were put aside because they are missing some of their old passports.
All the people that I talked with started their applications almost the same as I, May, 2014. So it took us about a year from received date to test.

Good luck to all those preparing for test.

Hi smrit,

Yes, it disappeared. I just checked ecas out. I do not think that it is something important so just disregard. =)
I do not understand why they write two times "We sent you a notice on June 3, 2015". Weird but it has an explanation.

Godhelp, if the application is received before or on June 11 and is complete. It will be processed under old law.

I don't think u need to take your 6 year old with u. I would take her documents though. But there is an interesting twist... and there is an oath ceremony scheduled at 10am on June 18th. So, what time is your test? Do u live outside Calgary? If you live in a place far from Calgary (e.g., medicine hat, red deer,...) and if your test is at 8am, maybe you will have your oath right after the test on the same day? In that case, I'm not sure if u need to take your daughter.
