Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

Hi All... I've mostly been a silent observer of this forum.
Looking at the timelines posted, does anybody else think there is a delay in the processing of applications from single applicants?

DATE TIME ELAPSED TOTAL TIME ELAPSED FROM APPLICATION RECEIVED
Stage 1: Application Received = August 2013
Stage 2: In Process = October 2013 since Stage 1 = 2.5 months = 2.5 months
Stage 3: Local Office Transfer = March 2014 since Stage 2 = 5.0 months = 7.5 months
Stage 4: Test Notice (Letter Date) = January 2015 since Stage 3 = 9.5 months = 17.0 months
Stage 5: Actual Test Date = February 2015 since Stage 4 = 1.0 month = 18.0 months
Stage 6: Oath Notice (Letter Date) = February 2015 since Stage 5 = 10 days = 18.4 months
Stage 7: Actual Oath Taking Date = end of March 2015 since Stage 6 = 1.8 months = 20.0 months

Whole process took 20 months since our Family Application was received. Kudos to the Calgary office! :-*

I have not received anything yet. When I spoke to Call Centre yesterday, the agent told me my application had been approved and decision granted on Feb 19 however no oath date was scheduled yet. During the test interview, the officer said the oath for our batch would be in April.

Hi ,

Looking at the current trend , if CIC follows received date then most probably in December 2015 . However , if CIC follows LOT date then hopefully in Jan 2016 .Having said that , I do feel that CIC is already "gradually " trying to improve the processing times and hopefully after implementation of residency clause in summer , we might see a reduction of few months in the wait times . Just my two cents , based on very "limited" data .

Maria Ash,

Call CIC and ask if the oath is scheduled / application is approved, let us know what they say. Mine they didn't tell Initially but when the oath is scheduled they told us that oath is scheduled. Check with them and let us know.
