Hi everyone,

I’m currently preparing my application for the Nova Scotia Skilled Worker Stream – Construction Worker Pilot Program

I would like to know how long it has taken for people who applied recently (after the EOI system started in late 2025) to receive their Invitation to Apply (ITA) or provincial nomination.

Specifically:
  • How long did it take from submitting your EOI / NSNP 200 until you were selected for processing or received the ITA?
  • Did you get any updates in between (acknowledgment, completeness check, etc.)?
I’m from outside Canada and I have a valid job offer in construction. Any recent experiences would be very helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Miss bee , Hope you are doing well.

Your advice is appreciated here. I'm July 2024 applicant and just received my updated GCMS notes which says my application is updated last on February 27th 2026 and is now processed by RROC. Eligibility and Background are passed since March 2025.

I'm primary applicant Inland my Spouse Secondary applicant is outland. Why is my application with RROC? is it a positive sign or negative? should I expect any decision soon?

Thank you in advance!

Having your application processed at the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada RROC (Remote/Regional Operations Centre) is generally not considered a negative sign. In many recent permanent residence cases, especially inland applications with outland dependents, files are transferred between visa offices such as Sydney, CPC offices, or RROC for workload distribution and finalization. Since your GCMS notes show that both Eligibility and Background have already passed since March 2025, that is actually a strong indicator that the major assessments on your file are completed. The “last updated” date of February 27, 2026 usually just means an officer or system action touched the file at that time; it does not necessarily indicate a problem. RROC often handles files that are nearing final review, portal preparation, or coordination involving family members outside Canada. Because your spouse is outland, the file can sometimes take additional time for final admissibility checks, document review, or coordination with the overseas office before a final decision is issued. Overall, being at RROC with passed Eligibility and Background is more commonly viewed as a positive stage rather than a negative one, and many applicants receive portal emails or final decisions after this stage, although exact timelines can still vary depending on security validity, medicals, and dependent processing.

Hi @Miss bee . I requested GCMS notes on March 15th. I have not received an answer as of today. Is this processing time normal for GCMS notes? Is there anything I should do regarding the request since its taking so long? Also, what is going on with the applications from Jan 28th to January 31st? It seems that they just forgot to keep processing January and moved on to other applications. It sucks.
Thanks for your help.
