Hi @Miss bee
Looking for some advice....
Oct 2024 inland applicant here. My medical passed a month ago but I have not received PAL yet. I ordered gcms notes 3 months back and have followed up on that via webform. Received an update that my inquiry will be dealt in 3 business days but its been weeks and nothing yet

We are almost on the same boat, I've been in SS for about 20 months. I contacted IRCC several times trough webforms and MPs. But nobody gave me a meaningful response or timeline.
SS for 21 Months and 14 days. Maybe will be over in 15 years how knows.

@Miss bee I received my Portal 1 on August 4, and it has now been 36 days without receiving Portal 2. I applied under the Non-Express Entry stream with my OINP nomination in May 2024. My AOR was in September 2024, and the last update I had was in November 2024 for medicals. After that, my file was inactive for almost 10–11 months. Now, I’m facing the same long delay for Portal 2.

I’ve noticed that other applicants are receiving their P2 ( people who received P1 after 20 august) almost everyone in time has received their P2. and even eCOPR from the same Etobicoke office, but my file seems to be continuously delayed. Is there anything I can do to get my P2 issued faster? I have an urgent need since I must travel outside Canada next month.

this is the new information that IRCC providing right now depends on your submission month-year.

mine shows:

People ahead of you:
About 4,200 people ahead of you
Total number of people waiting for a decision:
About 93,100 people waiting
People applying now should be processed in:
About 19 months

For the people who are stuck in Security for more than 18 months I strongly recommend them to raise a writ of mandamus.
there is also 4 weeks backlog in federal court for the immigration purpose cases.

That's interesting. Did IRCC sent you that spontaneously? I applied Sep 6, 24, waiting background check and FD. The only thing I found to "track" are the online sheets people share here in the forum, and it seems we are stuck in Aug-20 ish for FD. Also, how can I know the office my process went?

you need to first get your GCMS notes from CBSA to understand how long you are in SS and then decide and plan you strategy.

As this processing time change occurred on 8th September, can anyone check and confirm if his/her application has also been updated with the same date. My PR application status is now showing "Updated: Sep 08, 2025" on my application page in IRCC tracker.
