Hey guys, my PGWP expires in March 2026. But I have an ongoing Non-Express Entry PR application since Feb 2024 because of the comprehensive background check we are still waiting for, and my PNP is based on employer (employer restricted), so I am eligible to apply closed work permit. My questions are:

1. When should I start a process? When should I ask my employer to apply IRCC employer portal to get a support letter? Usually, how long does it take?

2. Should I apply for an employer-specific work permit?

If you have a similar experience, please shed some light. Any input highly appreciated.

However, due to my passport's expiry, instead of receiving a 2-year permit, I was only granted a 1-year permit. Since my work permit will expire next year, do I need to apply for another employment offer number (LMIA EXEMPT WORK PERMIT ) OR should i use the same number?

You can use same if everything is same , your Teer code , job , duties however I would suggest you to apply for new one as you will get another 2 years rather than getting one year.

Hey folks, does anyone know or has any idea how long it takes IRCC to review address and photo once submitted on the portal? Recently got my P1, and P2 after 2 days; both submitted the same day. After P2 in portal the status shows as "in review with IRCC" since 17th Nov. Just trying to figure out how long it would've taken them to approve it.
