I submitted my application for PNP (Non-Express Entry) in February 2025, but I have not yet received the AOR. My work permit expires in January 2026 and was issued based on the validity of my passport (2 years and 11 months).

I now have a new passport, and my employer has asked me to provide an update on my work permit status. I’m wondering what my options are in this situation.

Since I’m not yet eligible to apply for a BOWP, would it be a good idea to apply for a work permit extension?

I received my portal 1 today. I think after 645 days I’m finishing this long journey.

Congrats!!! Did you do any actions recently that you think it might have resulted in getting your final decision? Or it just came on its own?

I am an outland Non EE PR applicant, I received my Pre Arrival services letter on 23rd Sept 2025. Background check still under review, how soon do I expect my FD. My AOR was 28th August 2024.

Do all PR applications require a medical exam? Im applying through PNP inland. I submitted my biometrics about 3 months ago and I havent heard anything since then. Here's what my tracker looks like:

It's likely that PNP inland applications are exempt from a new medical examination. It's common to wait for more than 3 month between biometric and updates about medical

My SINP nomination was issued on March 2025 and the work support letter has expired on Sept 2025. My PGWP will expire in next year Dec. So If I require to renew my work permit extension next year, Do I need to renew the nomination letters(nomination certificate and work permit support letter). I'm so confused. I appreciate your responses.

It depends. If you are applying for BOWP , you don't need to however if you have employer restrictions on your nomination certificate, you can only apply closed work permit and you need valid work permit support letter.

I have employer restriction on my nomination letter. And my PGWP will expire next year 2026 dec. So I'd only require to extend my work permit that time. So Im thinking how can I use the nomination work permit support letter that time if its already expired.

In that case you can't apply for BOWP . You need to apply for closed work permit with help of employer.

You don't need valid nomination certificate, you only need WPSL which is less than 6 months old . If it's expired you need to request new one then your online account.
