Hello
I am from pakistan, I have master degree (computer science) and I have been working for last 5 years, current designation is Sr.Software Engineer(Team Lead) .

I would like to know if i move to canada, what chances that I will get a job with a non Canadian degree?

in short, I have heard that with out Canadian degree prof will struggle to get the right job at least for on year. M i right ?

Regards

Hi,

Whatever you have heard is correct, in Canada everyone start his/her life from scratch and one needs to get some canadian qualification in his/her field to get the same professional job in Canada, its hard but not impossible. Many members who have already moved to Canada have advised the same.

Cheers

Hi itme..

nice to know ur query. . i am glad u have some idea about canadian standards.
yes it is very true that u need to have some decent canadian certification/qualification which would help u to get a decent job in ur field of software dev. depending upon ur location and demand in the maket.

you should be ready and open to take up any job part time or temp. initially and simultaneously upgrade ur qualification , so that with in a year or so u can get rolling in ur field. search on google for colleges which offers part time courses in canada.

hope it clarifies. all the best !!!

Dear Friend,
I have few questions regarding obtaining canadian qualifications. Some I may find in specific university website but just in case you have any idea please shed some light from your experience.
Q1. Decent canadian qualification means university degrees?
Q.2.Or some sort fo short courses?. How to find those?
Q.3. If you want to get university qualification (e.g. MSc) , the cost will be less as a PR?
Q.4. Do you need to give subjact GRE for enrolling into MSC?
Q.5.Can you get some loans?
Q.6. Part time study possible side by side with survival jobs?

I am sorry to throw a bunch of questions to you. Please answer if you know.
Thank you so much in advance.
