I have been looking for NOC code for Junior accountant job.

And I'm not sure if it would fall under NOC: 1111, NOC: 1311, or any other code...

(according to a new NOC structure)

I'm also a graduate from post-secondary institution in Canada,

so would I only need one year of work experience in order to be eligible for permanent residence application?? because both of those NOC codes above is Type A skill level??

I really need a help with this.

Hi there:) I have somehow the similar situation. I've graduated last December (2010) and was lucky enough to find a job right away. So, in December 2011 I was eligible to apply under CEC, because I had 1 year full-time job experience. Is your job title says a "JUNIOR accountant" or just an "accountant"?? Because I started working as an auditor. Even though, I was pretty junior, my position title says only an "auditor" and job description matches code 1111. I applied under code 1111. Hope it helps a little bit:) Good luck!

You must be happy that your plan went so smoothly ;D

In my case, it specifically says "Junior Accountant" as a job title.

And I could only find NOC's for either accountant, or bookkeeper..

I wish they would be more specific to include such job as "Junior" accountant on NOC codes.

Because for a person planning to apply for CEC, it is really crucial to have the right job title that

matches with the required NOC codes.

Did you need a lot of documents from your company proving that you worked as "auditor" for a year??

I would suggest that you call CIC and ask them about your situation. Are your duties matching with NOC -Accountant? I would guess that Accountant is a general term for Junior Accountant, Senior Accountant etc. But you should call CIC.
I didn't need a lot of documents. I just got a reference letter from my HR manager describing my duties and outlining my history of working with my department. Exactly what CIC asked. I just printed out all the requirements and ask my HR prepare the letter accordingly. I also attached all of my pay slips for last year +tax return (assessment) + my business card. That's it.
Good luck!!!! Keep us updated!

It could be either skilled ("accountant") or unskilled ("accounting clerk").

Suggest you contact HRSDC (not CIC), provide the job duties, and get their opinion -
