Hello all,
Hope you are staying safe!
I need some help determining the NOC code for the jobs I have held. If you could please kindly provide some direction, would be greatly appreciated.
I hold a mechanical engineering bachelors degree from a Canadian university and the following are the roles that I am trying to determine NOC codes for:
a.) Energy Analyst:
Minimum Qualifications
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in finance, engineering, mathematics, science or related fields
• Advanced Excel skills – experience with formulas and pivot tables
• Energy and Sustainability experience
• Basic understanding of relation databases and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
• Utility experience is an asset – worked at a utility, energy market regulator, or energy consultant
company
• Familiarity with utility invoices (e.g. power factor, energy rate classes, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Energy Star Portfolio Manager, International Performance Measurement and
Verification Protocol (IPMVP) Framework, and either LEED or boma BEST
b.) Meter Specialist
Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering or post-secondary education in a
relevant technical field
2-3 years of experience working with electrical and mechanical
schematics
Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems in Residential and
Commercial buildings
If I select NOC 4161 - Natural and applied science policy researchers, consultants and program officers I may fall in the exclusion because I have an engineering degree. Should I pick mechanical engineer NOC for both roles?
Your help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
