Hello,
what would be the Noc code for a position as a customer care representative in a microbiology company? does it go under 64409 – Other customer and information services representatives or it would be appropriate to consider it as 62100 Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade, considering it requires technical knowledge in the field and involves assistance to customers to choose the right services for them and following "selling".

Hello,
what would be the Noc code for a position as a customer care representative in a microbiology company? does it go under 64409 – Other customer and information services representatives or it would be appropriate to consider it as 62100 Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade, considering it requires technical knowledge in the field and involves assistance to customers to choose the right services for them and following "selling".
Based on job responsibilities not title so you have to figure out what NOC is based on our job duties.

I offer technical support to customers referring them to the best service for their situations. During the procedure, I am the direct contact for any further questions regarding their lab analysis, it does incorporate both technical customer service and selling.
Can anyone please help me with the right Noc code.

Hi,

I would lean towards 64409 – Other customer and information services representatives for a customer care representative role, even in a technical field like microbiology.

Here's why:

- Focus on customer service: The primary role is assisting customers with orders, inquiries, and complaints, aligning with the broader customer service category.

- Technical sales as a secondary function: While product knowledge is needed, the core responsibility isn't actively selling or generating leads like a dedicated technical salesperson.

Ultimately, a deeper look into the job duties and responsibilities would provide a more definitive answer. You can also check out the NOC website for detailed descriptions of each code.

Good luck!
