Dear Friends,

I sent my all documents on 6th July ’2011 to Sydney NS through Fedex and Received by Sydney NS office on 12th July ‘2011 as per Fedex Tracking.

My NOC Code 0631 (Banquet Manager / Food & Restaurant service).

Kindly let me know the IELTS points I would secure as per my following results. Also total points as per my education and experience, age, adaptability, Relative in Canada etc as follows: -

IELTS held on 19/02/2011.

Listening-5.5
Reading - 4
Writing-6.0
Speaking -6.0

Education- 18 years full time study (12 + 3 Yrs Honors in Mathematics + 1 Year Masters in Mathematics + 2 years Diploma in Hotel Management).

Work Experience – 5+ years paid experience in Hotel Industry (Banquet Manager / Restaurant Service; NOC 0631 from April 2006 to continuing 2011).

Age- 35 +

Spouse/Adaptability - 16 years full time study ( 12+ 3 Yrs Honors in Political Science +1 Year Masters in Political Science)

Relative in Canada ( Uncle ) -5

As long as score 72 points is it OK irrespective the band points of IELTS.

Will they count my Education as I am a Banquet Manager in a Hotel Industry but study in Mathematics even if I have 2 years Diploma in Hotel Management?

Do you guys think I am secured?

I believe that all should be OK....as education and work experience do not have to be the same.....I do not have hotel management diploma or any other related edu....but am in process......but would suggest you to join some group which already has current discussions going on....ask the same question where people are more active..this thread will wipe out as others are much more active

I hope you get what I mean :)

Good Luck !!!!!!

Listening-5.5 (u will get 2 points)
Reading - 4 (u will get 1 point)
Writing-6.0 ( u will gwt 2 points)
Speaking -6.0 (u will get 2 poits)
Total 7 points from IELTS

Education- 18 years full time study (12 + 3 Yrs Honors in Mathematics + 1 Year Masters in Mathematics + 2 years Diploma in Hotel Management). I think u will get 22 points for 16 years of study.

Work Experience – 5+ years paid experience in Hotel Industry (Banquet Manager / Restaurant Service; NOC 0631 from April 2006 to continuing 2011). (21 for exp)

Age- 35 + (10 for age)

Spouse/Adaptability - 16 years full time study ( 12+ 3 Yrs Honors in Political Science +1 Year Masters in Political Science) (4 points)

Relative in Canada ( Uncle ) -5 (5 points)

As long as score 72 points is it OK irrespective the band points of IELTS. (According to my calculation u have 69 points, still in green zone, CHEERS)

Is there any body who got the first acknowledgment reply from Novo scotia office ?

I will suggest you tocheck your credit card or draft , when it be debited. On average takes 2-3 months

Hi Makrahman,

From the above posts your points are up to 69...thats the good news. The Bad news is that you are applying in the skilled worker category and with the marks in IELTS of 4 and 5.5 they might doubt your ability to do the job. So they might ask you for more proof of the uncle relationship. If you have a solid proof that he is related to you like the birth certificates of your parents, uncles certificate and stuff's like that then no need to worry.

Good luck

cheers
