Hi

I was a specialist officer in the credit department of a public sector bank for 7 years. My duties match those of the credit manager under NOC 0122 but not those of Banking manager. Can someone clarify whether bank credit officers can apply as credit manager under 0122 as in the lead statement

NOC Code......
0122
0122 implies Banking, credit and other investment managers , so whether you are a banking manager , credit manager or investment manager , you can still apply under noc 0122 . It is not necessary that all the duties should match , even if few are matching it is fine .
My noc is also 0122 .

Thanks a lot.
As my duties match those of credit manager and not of Banking manager, still I can apply under 0122??

I am also working as an assistant manager(scale 1 officer) in public sector bank from last 5 years(2years worked as a clerk Nd it will be 3 years as an officer).
I am looking after operations department.
And some of my duties match those of noc code 0122(assistant operations manager banking) and some of noc code 1212).

But I am confused for 0122 code.
As u are in banking sector, can u please help me with my roles and responsibilities??

Hi guys!

My situation is exactly similar. I work in a bank and my responsibilities matches those of credit manager.

But I'm just a 'specialist' (expert/officer) and don't have any employees under me.

Is 0122 still gonna work for me? If not, which one I can choose then?

Thanks for advice!

I asked the same question on the other thread and there they advised me to choose another NOC. It seems like there is some flixibility available.

I'm glad you're OK) I take some extra time to think it through. Good luck on new place. Are you already in Canada?

does public sector bank gives you a letter of roles and responsibilities easily????
I just talked to my HR and she was very reluctant to provide me the same.

Since its a transferreable job, every time you get transferred you have a new branch head; so did anyone faced any issues regarding the same?

I don't think we need to have all of those..some roles that match your job will also be sufficient

My duties matched most of those of credit manager under 0122. All duties need not match...if most of ur duties are there, it would do. My Pr application hs been approved. So rest assured.

Get the reference letter from ur present superior. It should be on the bank's letterhead and contain all the details as required by CIC. It worked for me. Cic says to get the letter from either HR or immediate superior. So it wouldnt be a problem
