I had sent my application on 24th july. I still have not received any confirmation from CIC. also they have not charged money from my credit card. should I contact them ? and do i have any chances of being considered now ?

Its ok you can apply in jan, i too applied in mid of aug so definitely i am out of the race. I think they would have sent acknowledgement email to people first then must have updated this no. of site so we all are out:-(

If yes, then send an email to them. They will reply within 45 days.
If no, then wait, game is not over.
