Well here I am,
a 631 applicant waiting like everyone else.
Let's see the difference in process of the various VOs.
And let's hope that 631 will be in the new list as I think that means that they won't delay our applications based on the excuse that they want to process NOCs which reflect jobs in demand in Canada....

I think hospitality jobs are in demand in Canada. My college batchmate is already there for the last 2 years now and his observations are very positive for our industry.

Hay everyone!!!
My husband also in the same boat ;-))) Still waiting for results. We applied in Dec 2009. File transferred in April 2010. "In Process" since November 2010. So are we before 26/6 or post?
I want to ask what is AOR and how many people know when is due? As we never received any letters from CHC I am little worry maybe we missed one of the AOR?
Looking forward for your reply.....Thanks a lot for your help!!!!

No, since you applied before June then you are a pre-June applicant, the rules that were valid back then, are the ones that apply to you.
AOR means "acknowledgement of receipt" and many VOs issue one when they receive your application. It means nothing more than that and of course there is no expiration. After AOR, you become "in process", that's where you are now. So next thing for you is to wait for MR, or/and any other additional documents from your VO.

Thanks Thalia for your explanation.!!!!

We be waiting for the next step....Let see...

So this is mean that we have to wait longer then the applicant post 26/6 ;-(((

Considering your time spam and a pre 26/6 application i think you might have to wait a little longer than the specified time. Anyways all's well that ends well.

Best of luck

If I only knew how they are going to process our cases...According to CIC, post-June are going first.I was trying to find some hints about Rome's VO since not many people in this forum applied there, hence I have no one to compare and I stumbled on this page http://www.immigrationmanuals.ca/CIC.php
Don't know if it's up-to-date or if it reflects reality, but surely confirmed my assumptions that Rome's VO is understaffed.

That was quite a helpful link NDVO was ranked 4th among all Visa Offices.
And yes Rome VO has very less staff hence i feel ur RBVO might have been delayed.
Thalia Dont Lose hope. its just the beginning of the process and as u had decided take help of CAIPS.

Once your application is "in process" at the VO you may find some useful information on your CAIPS notes. Check out Qorax' thread on CAIPS and see if you want to order yours. It can take 6 wks. You can do a search on the main forum page, top right corner box for CAIPS and you will find all sorts of information. You could also send a VO specific request for information if you have passed the expected number of months now. Good Luck.

hehe...thanks hun,
for sure I'm not going to lose hope. I try to take things in proportion. Rome receive apps from 3 relatively small countries, therefore they have less apps to deal with. Still there will be a small delay comparing to fast VOs.
And as you mentioned at the pm earlier, I don't know even if Rome issues an AOR, but for sure a rbvo should come despite aor. And who knows, maybe it's already there and they will remember to update my e-cas after a month. That even won't surprise me. The officers there are characterized as lazy! LOL!!!!

That is really good post ...Nice work Thalia

Thank you,
glad you find it useful, even though I still don't know if I should be happy or not for reading it. Sometimes not to know is better! hahahahaha :P

hi all,

i was reading the thread 'london chc april to oct 2011' and was shocked to read nectar's post announcing the decision to hold post june 2010 applications until after sept 2011. the post says currently the priority is for post feb 2008 applications. please access the post at the below link.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/chc-london-from-april-2011-to-october-2011-t66389.0.html

can we attribute the delay that the london applicants are facing currently to this decision? any one knows if this piece of info is true? looks like this applies to london vo only. pl share your thoughts.
