I have applied for Express Entry and have received an ITA in March 24 of 2017.

Although I am quite confident that I have selected one NOC that is a close match, I might have found one that is closest. Allow me to explain:

My position was called Sales Manager / Business Manager. I worked for a chemical industry, was responsible for the medical gases sales to hospitals, and my main duties were:

Promote sales to existing clients
Identify and solicit potential clients
Assess clients' needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods or services
Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients' needs
Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service
Prepare and administer sales contracts
Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
Troubleshoot technical problems related to equipment
May train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment

First, I chose 0601 - Corporate Sales Manager, which is NOC type "0". There is a title that is an exact match for my job title and the duties fit about 60%.

Then I found 6221 - Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade, which is type "B". Although example titles won't fit, the duties are about 95% close, although I am not sure I worked in the wholesale trade.

Based on this information:
1) Which one should I choose? Or is there any better option?
2) Also, can I change my NOC in my application, even if I have alredy received and ITA, considering it will not change my CRS points?

Thanks in advance!

Do you get any suggestions ?

Hello , for 0601 Corporate Sales Manger , they have mentioned business development degree or education.

As I understood 0601 is mid career managerial sales position and 6221 is basic start sales position without requirement of any business degree/MBA

How others are perceiving it?

Hi guys ...
I am a Polymer Engineer. I wanted to know is NOC 6221 appropriate in my case. Overall 6 years of sales profile experience with below different designations.
1 year ex - Marketing Executive (India)
6 months - Sr Sales Executive (India)
1.4 years - Sales Manager (Africa)
3 years - Sales Representative (UAE)

After checking the duties of the NOC 6221 it seems pretty much similar to my current job and duties. However, i am worried as it is showing as Skill level B only and not 0 or A. Will it affect my score ? Should i continue with 6221 or go with 0601 for sales manager.

Regards,
GSW

Selecting NOC is confusing - 0601 Corporate sales manager- 6221 Tech Sales Specialist - 2171 IT Consultant??

I have 3 work experiences in my current EE profile and I hold an ECA for Master's (MBA):

NOC 2171:

April 2018 - Present : Technical Account Manager, I basically handle one single customer in all customer success/satisfaction areas such as Tech Support, Sales Support, Project Management, Invoicing and Administrative things, etc.

Both NOC 6221:

December 2014 - November 2016: Field Account Manager, this was a sales role that involved technical skills to present to customer and follow-up on new project opportunities (industrial automation, IT solutions, large electrical projects)

December 2011 - February 2014: Sales Engineer, again a Sales role that involved technical skills to present solutions to customers but also included managing solution partners such as Systems Integrators, Wholesale Distributor, etc.

Hi Ashu,
Hope you are doing fine.

I just need your valuable suggestion.

My SINP timeline :

NOC - 0601

SINP - EE

Points - 83/100

ITA Received - 25/09/2019
File Submitted - 08/11/2019
In Process - 29/11/2019

29/07/2020 - Profile Ineligible

My Education : Masters in Science (Microbiology), Batchelor's in Science (Microbiology) - WES Report - Double Batchelor's Degree,

Work Experience - 8 Years Experience ( Designations : Sales Manager/ Area Business Manager).

Companies - I worked for Laboratory Diagnostics, Medical devices and Laboratory consumables, related companies in Healthcare (Indian and UAE companies).

In a letter from SINP, they stated below reason :

Requirements not met:
Principal Applicant ‐ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Proof of Transferable Settlement Funds
The documented proof of your settlement funds does not meet the SINP documentation
requirement. Additional verification is required to complete assessment, however, it has been
determined that no further verification request will be made as the SINP has concluded you do not
meet the Work Experience criteria

Work Experience Credentials
You do not meet the SINP work experience requirements. Our assessment shows that you did not
meet the SINP requirements related to education for NOC 0601‐Corporate Sales Managers. As
stated on our website, you must have completed a university degree or college diploma in business
or in a related field with a specialization in sales.

MY QUERIES ARE FOLLOWING :

1) SHOULD I SEND A DETAILED EXPLANATION TO SINP VIA EMAIL (MORE PROOFS THAT MY EDUCATION IS MATCHING THE DUTIES AND PRODUCT RANGE I AM HANDLING FOR ALL THE COMPANIES) ?

2) ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE NOC SUGGESTION - 6221 ?

THANK YOU,

The responsibilities you have on your job are more important than the title you hold. My title - Key Accounts Manager - is NOC code 0601 (Corporate Sales Managers) but my responsibilities are more of a sales executive. I work for a fooring distributor. I went for 6221 as 'building material' sales is inn the NOC. I would rather go for a lower skill level than try to pass off under 0601. Trying to be safe and honest!
Hello..!! Did you pass in your NOC code.?

I also have this query. I have done MBA Marketing, started working in job profiles similar to 6221 and now I am Regional sales manager where my current profile also matches 6221. However, I am unsure whether SINP will consider my highest degree MBA Marketing for technical sales profile. ECA done for both Engineering and MBA(highest) degree.
