No Update on Visitor Visa (applied from Canada) - Inland Application

Hi, I applied for a temporary resident visa (TRV) on 10 June 2021 with my valid PGWP since then I haven't got any updates on it and next month (November) I have to travel to India.
is there any way to expedite the process or get any updates beyond what's CIC portal is showing?

Unfortunately the long processing times are normal right now and there is no way to expedite.

If you plan to be in India for a while, then you can simply leave Canada without the TRV and then request your passport stamping from India once the TRV is approved.

Could you please tell me what would be the process if I do go to India and get my visa stamp over there? And how much time will it take?
Can I just call the embassy and submit my passport or do I have to fill some sort of form and wait for a long time to get the visa stamp in India.
