I filled my application in the first week of Feb 2013 in CEC. Submitted all docs including the PCC. Got the AOR in March 2013.

There is no update on website after AOR. Getting worried.

Has anyone filled at the same time and got updates from CIC.

is there any way of getting an update on the case or at least know they are processing the file.

Have you got Application Received status?
You're at the 6 month mark right? People from 2012 are yet to receive medical requests so it will be a whole before 2013 are I think.
Patience is key
You can apply for gcms notes but there's probably not that much activity - maybe criminality

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes the application status is received in the ECAS. I am seeing many people are updating in trackitt (who applied in March and April 2013) that thier status has been updated in ECAS that their file is under processing.

Not sure how ECAS is updated

Some people from 2013 were assessed in Sydney and they have in-process
To be honest some people from 2012 who have landed has App Received their whole time. I guess officers can be lazy in updating the system :-)

I didn't think trackitt had an 'in process' column - could you tell me where that is?

Same timeline....FEB 2013 applicant. Realistically, you shouldn't expect anything until end of October. They have merely scratched DEC 2012 with what I assume is but a few applications. Which means, they are yet to fully immerse in those and then commence JAN 2013. Like I said, optimistically, end of OCT or beginning to mid NOV.

If you havent been following the forum that much, you should also know that there is an ongoing PAFSO strike, which has put significant strain on CIC, as it shifted the burden of processing temporary permits abroad onto CIC. Just be patient!! :)

PS. The 2013 applications processed were a few cases that saw a CIO eligibility assessment, which most assumed was a pilot run to evaluate the potential for future shift in processing procedures. And, even some of those that were lucky enough to see this, stalled shortly after.

Thanks for your reply.
Also do i need to get RCMP finger print check done and sent to cic before they ask.

This is not mandatory as per checklist, guide or OP. If you wish to do it without CIC's request, you may. Some individuals receive the request, while others do not. Should you choose to do so, it takes less than 1 week and the results can be sent directly to CPP-O.
