No response from cic

Hello,
My wife in Canada (PR holder) had applied for my PR through spousal sponsorship.
The application was sent via courier and the tracking says it was delivered on 23rd August.
But we haven't heard back from cic till date.
Is this normal ?
Is there an ETA on when cic acknowledges the application ?
What do we do if we dont hear from them ?

It's way too early. AOR won't come in until 6-8 weeks from when they received it. I wouldn't expect anything until October at the earliest.

Yes itsnormal i read on the other forum august 13 are having their AOR. Just have to wait 6-8 weeks

Agree with you I did not hear any 1 from AUG , early JULY what I knew so far.

Hello again!
Do they acknowledge the AOR via email or by post ?

And afaik the process for spousal reference takes 12 months. The application has been delivered on August 23rd 2018 as mentioned on the first post. Is 12 months from the date of receipt of the package or from the time it has been acknowledged ?

I still haven't received the AOR. sigh..
