Hi,
I hope I'm posting this in the right place - I have recently applied for Express Entry to Canada and had an issue on my application I was confused about, so I was wondering if anyone on this forum could advise.
I have been living in Canada for 18 months on an IEC work permit from the UK, and working for that entire time (minus one or two weeks when I arrived) as a journalist. I work 45 hours a week for one company but technically I am a freelancer and pay my taxes etc as a self-employed worker, so I ticked self-employed when adding this work experience to my EE application.
On my application page, however, I am not credited with any points for Canadian work experience. Is this because self-employed work does not count or some other reason?
I've submitted a query via the web form to question this but am wary I will be waiting a while for a reply.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
