I got a long story with my work experience but has nothing to do with my question though...
Here is what I entered in my profile:
2012Oct - 2014 Feb: 24hrs NOC 5223
2012Oct - 2014 Feb: 16hrs NOC 1331
2014May - current: 40hrs NOC 1111
for my first job I work as 5223 but help on bookkeeping 2days a week.

why is the system giving me no point for canadian work experience? Did I input anything wrong or the system just can't do the math?
Thanks.

By the way I assume I will receive a message in mycic account for some codes to register job bank. I don't see anything yet :(

Hi, I have almost the same problem as well. Did you get any answers from the forum or government officers to your situation? My work experience definitely already over one year, but I worked at two different jobs with different NOC code.

Perhaps this is the reason??
9) WORK EXPERIENCE IS COUNTED FOR ONLY ONE OCCUPATION YOU ARE INTENDING TO APPLY!
e.g IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE= 1 YEAR IN 1212, 1 YEAR IN 2148, 2 YEARS IN 0911 AND YOUR INTENDED OCCUPATION IS 0911, ONLY YOUR TWO YEARS EXPERIENCES WILL BE ACCOUNTED FOR, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO MENTION ALL YOUR OCCUPATION WHILE FILLING UP THE ONLINE FORM.

maybe because you weren't working the 30 hours per week in the first two individually so they don't count.
you haven't yet done a year in the job with 40 hours per week.

Hi Pippin, thank you so much for the timely and kind reply!

Actually, what you said is exactly what I am worried about. If my first working experience is not accounted for, that means I could not get the 40 points. Such a pity.

But on the other aspect, according to CIC website, one year working experience equals to 1560 hours. So far I already worked for 10 months at my second job and 168 hrs/mon, that is, 1680 hours. So does the EE ranking system not calculate in this way?

nope. you need 52 weeks. it doesn't matter how much you work above the 30 hours per week, just that you do so for a year.

This is the equalent given for part-time workers, who will take longer than 1 year to qualify.

If you work more than 30 hours per week, you are simply "full time" and you don't add up hours.

Hi jes_ON,

Thank you so much!

I am thinking if my second job reaches 52 weeks, will the EE system account for 52 weeks automatically based on the work info I put into my profile and then add 40 points to my total score?
