My student visa is about to expire and i dont have a work permit. I need to leave the country in 7 days but have no money to buy tickets to travel back. What are my options?
Note: I am an indian citizen :(

Can a family member or friend from home send you money or buy the flight for you?

Nope, they can't at the moment.

Unfortunately that's the only suggestion I have...

I dont plan to come back so should i overstay and get deported.

Overstaying and getting deported is a bad idea since this will be part of your permanent immigration record. Not only does this mean you'll likely find it impossible to return to Canada in the future as a student, worker or visitor - but it will also impact your ability to get visas for other countries (e.g. US, UK, Europe, NZ). So you should avoid this if at all possible.

You should try to find a way to fund your flight back home either through friends or relatives as soon as you can.

Good luck.

credit card, sell stuff... i dont know - if you have been there for a while i'm sure you must have made some friends or have relatives who can help..
i would absolutely not overstay unless there is no other option - it will impact your future chances to move or study or even visit quite badly...

good luck

Plus of course even getting to the deported stage from an overstay probably not some immediate process so could be months where the OP has to survive with no legal work . Plus ultimately deportations are not I think free , that is not government sponsored from either end so somebody pays probably the OP eventually.

Agreed. It would be many many months of waiting for the deportation process. Much cheaper to find a way to pay for the flight yourself now.

You can apply to extend your stay here as a visitor while you sort this out. It may or may not be approved, but while it's processing you will at least be on legal implied status until you get a response.

If the OP is really destitute maybe needs to contact the Indian embassy/consulate for options if any although being self inflicted probably no embassy options https://www.hciottawa.ca/view_detail.php?id=11199

You are probably trolling.

Want to start a business but no money to fly back home!
