Hi Guys,

I finally sent my full documents to my consultant who would then forward it down to the Visa Office. What next should be expected from the Visa Office as soon as the document arrives their office?

Hello Everybody,
Thank you so much for your wonderful contributions, You would not believe it but I have taken my time to read the thread, from beginning to the end.
I am an intending immigrant ,I want to apply for the FSW and I am lucky that my job is on the new list, I recently finished my masters in Unilag but still waiting for transcript and i am not sure of getting it this year, I am also yet to write the IELTS which I hope to take soon,
I am a single applicant, my question is; I don’t have up to the 10000 Canadian dollars in my bank yet but I am planning on saving and do I include my bank details in my application and can I send my application without my unilag masters transcript because i might not get it till the 1st quarter of next year ?
Please let me know what to do
Thanks !

Hello Right,
you can definitely notarize at the High court. Whoever is officially responsible for notarization will do it, but beware of touts outside the court and make sure you make your payment yourself.

Thank you Tolu. I actually met a friend of a colleague who is a Notary Public and agreed to do it for me at N100.oo per page. God is good!

To all of you who may be interested in PCC, you can PM me for N3,000.00 per copy. I'll only give you the contact and you will be there live yourself.

I have gained so much from this forum and I am wishing to give back at anytime.

Right,
Were you able to speak with Supol for the pcc at Alagbon - Supol told me N5,000.00 per PCC but I got it for N3,000.00 per PCC at Alagbon.
Thanks for the connection though.

Hi,

For all you naija's who are in Lagos and want to notarise your documents.I would suggest you go to the MINISTRY OF JUSTICE at Alausa ,it is only 200 per doc.1000 is too exhorbitant considering the no of docs to be notarised.

I did mine and a friend did also. The stamp of the lagos state government is more authentic than any other .Anyways my 2 cent ,just a suggestion though.

Nice weekend.

My Naija people

I had a little bit of time in hand today and therefore decided to look into trends from numerous forums, focusing on Accra VO and timelines.

It would appear that Accra (at least for 2010) have not sent any Medical request for any application received after April 2010. Medical requests have been issued for majority of fast-track cases received between June 2009 - April 2010.

This leads me to the assumption that for majority of cases where full docs were sent in the period April/May - Dec 2010, medical requests and status change to 'in process' will begin to flow in from January 2011.

Also, from the above it would appear that the best time to submit full documentation (if the 120 day limit is not exceded) is between Jan - Mar 2011 for all pre Jun 26th applicants.

I hope my ramblings above do make sense, at least to a few. Just my 2 cents or should I say 2 kobo as I still dey Naija setting (lol)

Peace to you all!!!

Anigerian,

I kinda think your premise & ultimate conclusion is faulty especially with respect to submitting full docs between Jan - March ! Do you thereby imply that documents submitted in oct-dec 2010 will not have any advantage of sending their docs 2 or 3 months before ? Personally, I think the delay is due to the "unofficial Visa quota" for accra VO & probably their migration from Caips to GCMS... My two kobo too !

Pyramid

You're exactly confirming my point.

The Visa quota causes the delay for the people who submit Apr/May 2010, and favours those who submit early in the new year (120 day limit allowing). Both sets or grps then fall into the same basket when the visa quota opens up in Jan 2011 and everybody starts seeing status changes and med req.

I agree, I probably should have made this clearer in my first post.

Now, this is my 3 kobos!!!

Peace!!!

All Nigerian, Pyramid

You are probably right. No Visa Office should exceed its quota in a given year. Those who submitted full doc to Accra should be expecting their medicals/ Visa in first quarter of 2011.CIC will also process pre feb 2008 applicants with it. Ig happens to fall into the latter category
On the other hand, those who submitted full doc between Oct - Dec may be lucky if the quota is not exceeded.
We may need to know how ,many ACCRA APPLICANTS submitted full doc in 2010 and is yet to be issued with a visa
Oloye submitted full doc in Jan 2010 and got his visa in May 2010.
