Hello house,

I landed March 15 and came back. I am planning to go back soon and I am thinking of applying for a travel document for my family as against waiting for the PR card.

I don't know if anyone that has done this before can share his or her experience.

Regarding your question, don't do that mistake of not adding your daughter to the application.

Good you have notified AVO, and they've responded with what you need to do.

Whether an American or not, in as long your not a Canadian, you will still need a PR to stay there for more than
90 days or so, amongst other things such as attending school, healthcare coverage etc.

Your daughter can still retain her dual citizenship and have a PR in Canada.

Other peeps and seniors can add to this, but this is my own thought....

Hi, you can pay the fee with a Canadian Dollar draft and have it addressed to the High Commission of Canada. All the best.

I suggest you raise draft. 150CAD or 120USD because the online is not clear as it states Express entry.
Just send my new baby addition yesterday.

I'll advise you patiently wait for your PR card to be mailed to you in Naija cos i went through the travel document application process and it was very disappointing and stressful.
More so, i almost missed my flight back to Canada because of that as they held on to my international passport way beyond the posted timelines.( i even received my PR card while still waiting for the travel document application to be processed)

Trust me, don't venture down that route... Thank me later !

Hello people,

I got info from my bank that CIC attempted my card twice yesterday (a minute interval) and couldnt go through. What i discovered was an error from my bank who placed hold on my account without informing me.

My bank has removed the hold and the account is free to be debited. In this case, will CIC attempt to debit again or should i call CIC and explain and that they should go ahead to debit my account.

please this is urgent.

Received.
The problem is that my VO asked me to
submit updated Bank Statement, medicals and
RPRF. I had used the money in my account for
some issues. But i updated the account and
sent to VO, explaining how i got the updated
money and what the initial money was used
for. I also paid RPRF. Now its over 1 month
since i submitted the update, no news from
VO. Do you think i have a problem? Should i
be worried? Has anyone experienced someone
rejected for this reason? Thanks

Well, you just have to wait for them to respond. It is good you explained what you used the money for and how you got the one to replenish. What they will do is to examine carefully if the reason you have provided is possible or not. At times, they go as far as discussing with senior colleagues of their view before you get to hear from them. Just be prayerful at this point. Of late, two people posted in the 2013 forum that they said they did not agree with their explanations about how they got their funds and as a result, they were refused. Just continue top pray for it to go in your favour. All the best.

31/08/2014 - PE received
27/01/2015 - Medical/RPRF request
29/01/2015 - RPRF paid
30/01/2015 - Medicals done
09/03/2015 - Passport request
11/03/2015 - Passport sent
20/03/2015 - Visa issued
01/04/2015 - Passport collected

Dear Friends,

I have a situation in my hand. I got my PPR on Thursday, 16th April 2015, however I have a travel commitment with my employer prior to my getting the PPR Mail. I will be away for about 75days from early May, 2015. I did a mail to accra visa office on this issue and am still waiting for feedback from them. Is there any other action I can take at this time? I don't want this to strain the relationship with my current employer.

I need your advice ASAP.
