Top of the day to you. I applied for CSQ as a
Nurse Feb and received AOR in June 2014. I have
been reading the trend about people MICC is
requesting to update their Tax Document for the
past 5 years. I noticed we did not include this in
our application.
Can I get this from the Tax Office in Nigeria and
update our documents WITHOUT needing to wait
for MICC documents update OR I simply wait for
them to request any update should there be any
need for it?
Your advice will be highly appreciated.

If you just submitted then you should be more concerned with your debit card getting charged or your DD enchashed. After this you wait for your PER email and hopefully your MR email which may come or may not come with updated POF depending on what you submitted as initial POF.
Below are some reasons why CHC asks for updated POF
MAIN REASONS

1. You submitted Assets as proof of funds (CHC will demand standard POF)
2. Your initial PoF is less than the required size
3. Your family size have changed
4. You submitted a bank letter instead of FD or bank statement
5. Your statement was printed like 3months before it gets to CIO in Nova Scotia
6. Sudden change in the family composition of applicant and as such the existing POF can't cover the family any more.
7. Sudden large amount in the statement of account used as POF(Account history is inconsistent)
8. Lack of correlation b/w payslips if submitted along with initial application and statement of account.
9. Long waiting period b/w time of application processing and request by VO.
10.The use of joint account could also be another factor.
11.Any other reasons best known to the officer handling your case.

How to Beat this?
Avoid all 10 Above and pray God for favour of good VO

It is advisable to wait for them to request for it. They may not even ask for it.

Quebec will ask for it and when they do, the timeframe may not suffice cos of d naija civil service bureaucracy. Better to start now

Hi, as stated by Preferred, it takes time to get this. Please start processing it now as a proactive approach so that you are not caught unawares if the request comes up later.

it seems Accra needs to be reminded of what to do. i have been waiting for pick up mail for our passport for about a week now so i decided to send them a reminder. they just replied my mail via the mail i sent that our package was ready for pick up. Thank God for that. please if you are expecting any mail from from them please send them a friendly mail gently reminding them of it. this is the third time this is happening to me and they only wake up when you send them a reminder. Big congrats. This AVO people nawa oooooo. So at every stage one needs to write them a reminder b4 they wake up! How i wish i know the time frame between each stages (PER & AoR, AoR & MR/RPRF, MR & PPR, PPR & PRV), i would have known what to do. Abeg send me the email address you used in writing them!
