dear forum members! please HELP!!
Today I got E-cas status changed to "Decision made" (after "Medicals received" but without RPRF and PPR). By snail mail I have just received a leeter from Vienna stating their rejection due to non sufficient funds: thjey expected us to have $CAD 14.720 for two?Huh? When and how did this happen??? These are NEW rules, for my understanding they had to process our file on the old rules from last year, when we had to have $CAD 13.837!
What can I do?? this is so wrong''


The above statements was posted by one of our forum member in Vienna, we shall be very grateful if the senior and other experienced forumites assist this guy on how to turn the situation to positive
please note that he sent other requested documents after medical on 10th April 2014

I am not sure this person is in our 'own' forum. We only have experience of how AVO has been 'treating' us even though we do NOT know how they work entirely.
Well, to your submission I think, this person should have updated his/her account for the POF. He/She shouldn't have assumed that he/she would be treated based on the POF request as of when he or she applied. That is the reason the VO always ask for an update in POF. Its the more reason you visit www.cic.gc.ca to ascertain updates from the Canadian Immigration. Its sad he/she was denied the Visa, but I do think the person actually neglected.
I stand to be corrected though, people please we need your input as regards this.

Dada-Karma has said it all. In as much as your friend's case is outside our cluster, we should always visit the government site www.cic.gc.ca to avail ourselves of recent changes as regards our application. Its a pity that he was denied and i feel sorry for him. Please encourage him to apply again. He might just be lucky this time.

Well, to your submission I think, this person should have updated his/her account for the POF. He/She shouldn't have assumed that he/she would be treated based on the POF request as of when he or she applied. That is the reason the VO always ask for an update in POF. Its the more reason you visit www.cic.gc.ca to ascertain updates from the Canadian Immigration. Its sad he/she was denied the Visa, but I do think the person actually neglected.
I stand to be corrected though, people please we need your input as regards this.

Hi kelo, can you shed more light on the situation? Did the Visa Office ask for an updated POF and he/she submitted an updated POF based on the old required POF? or He/She was just denied without requesting for an updated POF?

Happy Sunday to you and your family.
I have a friend who works with a bank. He told me that embassies do actually check to confirm accounts of visa applicants. It is safe to assume that AVO does the same. As per employment verification, i should think that the letter from your employer should suffice if you work for a credible organization.
I hope this helps.

Then, I made a deposit of 730k in my account from a sale of car to raise more money for POF. Do I need to defend this in any way? Although the transfer description in my account reads "purchase of car from (my name)".

Hello Ritaliciously, to your question, I can bet you that nobody knows when and how AVO works. What many people from other forums do is assume and speculate about the knowledge of same but it isn't entirely true. Also, your visa office can only get in-touch with your bank only to know if your account is actually domiciled with them but cannot confirm your account balance since you do have a privacy policy agreement with your bank.
Someone else can comment more on this but I think this is as far as I know.
