hello People

What should i do next ? : my MR notification came via an email on sept 20th , but i haven seen the hard copy . I wrote accra last week and i was told the letter may take a long time ! imagine.... i am on the 5th /6th week now ....and 60 days is fast running out . I may have to go and rent a house near the post office now .

Plus , is there a waiting period if i have to do the medic assessment at asaju in VI ....unlike the customary 3/4 weeks wait period at Yaba ...??

Hello Jibaba,

Was there an attachement with your MR notification? My medicals came via e-mail and all necessary documents were attached to the e-mail.I have not received the hard copy till now but we did the medicals some days after receiving the e-mail.

All what you need do is to call Asaju and you will choose a convinient day whereby they will check their calender to see if it is ok with them. All in all you can do your medicals within days of calling them in Asaju medical.

All the best.

thanks @ omobaba...

There was no attachment with the email. So i guess i will have to keep waiting . I have sent in the bank draft for the resident fees ...I guess i will go with Asaju ....Thanks again

Regards

Hi,

I belong to the pre-June 26th, 2010 category.

Got my visa on 25th Oct, 2011 - despite 2.5 months delay for payment issue by CIO, 3 months delay in further medical tests - otherwise the whole process I should say took about 1 year only.

I would be entering canada by May 2012.

good luck to all

Hi,
You are welcome to the forum, you will surely get the much needed experience from the elders, but i don't think you can apply under NOC 1222 unless you have an offer of arranged employment, check the list of 29 listed occupations.cheers

After looking at the options, I have decided to go the QSW route and I need all the help I can get (esp. Egrace and all other QSW applicants). Please what documents do I include in my application? I have the CEFPII (B1) from Alliance Francaise. Would that suffice or do I still need to do TEF? My husband is just about to enroll in AF and we'll claim beginner frnech for him while i claim intermediate.

Secondly, I want to know if what additional documents i need to include in my application.

Thanks for your help

Pa Right

The delay we are experiencing from Accra is not down to a huge backlog but a combination of quota and inefficiencies at Accra.

With just under 7000 cases for FSW (including 2004 - 2008 cases), as at 31st June 2011, one would have expected Accra to move faster, but like I said, the quota thing is a big factor (less than 2000 visas per year for FSW)!

Let's stay hopeful and prayerful over the next 9 months!

Peace!!!

hmmmmmmm egrace more grace to your elbow. thanks to the kindhearted Mr.F and his wife who have been of so much help thanks partly to our landed naija thread i hope to see more of your story there so you can share the first hand information with us
