Can someone share their experience with Nigerian customs at the Lagos International Airport, while trying to carry their Canada landing funds over $26000 out of Nigeria. Since it is above the $5000 limits.
Did anyone get harrased, is their any fine.
Please share your experience.

To answer those of us who are interested in knowing what steps I took to get an offer, here is a snapshot I intend to start a new thread for this. BTW I am in IT with over 12 years experience with MBA although I dont believe this count for anything without the help of God.

To answer your question here are what I did:

I got my resume redone with an American company online and I paid less than $10 for the option I chose
Included my friend's address in canada on my resume with his no
Uploaded same to monster.ca, indeed etc
Applied directly to the company that made me offer on their website
Designed a free website for myself (not ncessary) but improved my linkedin profile
Got many companies showing interest and as soon as they send me email I let the cat of the bag that I am still outside Canada and if they do not mind doing skype interview. I informed them that my PR for Canada will soon be out
Did two videoconferincing interview, both liked me

ONE MADE ME OFFER!!!!

Yeah that is my story hope it helps. Remember that you have to proof your worth.

To be frank this option will be so cumbersome and you will need necessary visas as the tickets are not booked as one .... Ikemba is so right.
even if i want to consider breaking this journey, qatar is just way off and then imagine doing it with 3 kids...the flight too long for that kind savings.. what if baggage does not arrive on one leg of the flight? imagine you get to frankfurt and your bagage does not arrive how do you deal with the issue...who will help you retrieve it from qatar and forward it through condor

From the word go I said this is a possibility and that if one wants to "get artistic" you can try. But there might be some in the forum that $1,000 ??? ??? ??? savings means alot to. For example EMO.

But if there is no other way than to pay $9,500. Baba God still dey for us oh. But, honestly if i need to get a visa to go that route, I will try and give you all the gist

Why travel round the world ?

Our flight from Lagos to Frankfurt was about 6hrs
Frankfurt- Calgary was 9.20mins. We were so tired that sleep refuse to come when we arrive calgary


Please , let us use wisdom at times.

Who no wan fly business class if the money dey. Brother, instead of borrowing to fly short hours, I will rather fly longer hour with my small savings o o o o o o.
